Sun Zhenyu, a judo coach of Jinjiang Youth Sports School, came to the judo training base in Quanzhou City of Fujian Province on May 14 to visit the junior judo players who are preparing for the forthcoming Fujian provincial games.

According to Sun, more than 10 Jinjiang judo players will participate in the judo competition during the provincial games, and this group of contestants, including boys and girls, were born between 2004 and 2006.
Sun introduced that they currently focuses on technical training, and the current state of the athletes are very good.
It is learned that the judo competition of the provincial games is tentatively scheduled to be held in Pucheng County of Nanping City, Fujian Province in October. In the last provincial games, Jinjiang athletes got 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals in judo.
The results in this year's competition are expected to surpass those of the previous term, said Sun, adding that the main competitor of Quanzhou team which includes Jinjiang athletes is still the Xiamen team, and the competition is expected to be more intense.
It is learned that Liu Xiaofeng, a judo athlete from Jinjiang and who won a gold medal in last year's provincial games, will take part in the provincial games again. Liu xiaofeng was born in 2006, and has won provincial championships multiple times. Liu is expected to help the Quanzhou team to win the gold medal in this year's judo competition.
According to Sun, another Jinjiang judo player Zhou Dong who was born in 2004, is also expected to win the gold medal.
